ABOUT THE PASTORIAL COUPLE
Reverend Noël with his wife Janine Brinton are originally from Pentecostal Holiness – Christian Heritage Church in Krugersdorp. Under the leadership of Dr. Pat Godwin, they studied at the Christian Heritage Bible School where they obtained their Diplomas in Ministry and Leadership in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Janine studied further from 2003 – 2006 and obtained her degree in Counselling from Calvary University.
In 2008 Reverend Noël completed a Certificate Course for a year at the Hebraic Roots Teaching Institution under the Faculty Dean, Dr Wimpie Liebenberg.
In 2009, Janine completed the same Certificate Year Course at the Centurion Yeshiva run by Reverend Noël.
Towards the end of 2004, Reverend Noël who had been currently working for about 2 years as an Assistant Pastor to Dr Pat Godwin was nominated by Dr Pat Godwin to take over the almost non existent – PHC Christian Family Church – Valhalla from Pastor Len Clarke, who was going into retirement.
Our mission is to make men and women disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yahushua Hamashiach).
Our Worship is for an audience of three: FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT. We at Pentecostal Holiness Church - Mount Olive, believe in making a joyful noise unto our Lord.
To baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh)
To teach them everything that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Yahushua Hamashiach) commanded us to do, using sound doctrine and teachings that are scripture based. (Matthew 28:19)
We at Pentecostal Holiness Church – Mount Olive, believe in the concept of tithes and offerings, we believe it, as an instruction, command from God (Yahweh) and He takes it quite seriously. The instruction is not only found in the Old Testament as some choose to believe, but there are many references in the New Testament too, pertaining to tithing and giving an offering. Abraham practiced tithing four hundred and thirty years before the Law was given to Moses. (Galatians 3:17; Genesis 14:20; Hebrews 7:4). We who are in Christ are considered to be the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:7; 3:29; Romans 4:1). The Lord Jesus (Yahshua) later said in Matthew 23:23 that the Pharisees and Scribes were faithfully paying tithes, but neglecting justice, mercy and faith. He went on to tell them to practice these also, but not to leave tithing undone. Tithing is not to be viewed as an Old Testament Law, but as a principle of the Bible that existed before the Law and is part of our Christian lifestyle. Just as sowing and reaping is a principle, so giving and receiving is a principle. Malachi 3:10, clearly states that as we give to God (Yahweh), we in return can expect to receive His protection and provision. Satan is called the devourer, and the only way to break free of his control over our finances is to walk in Godly principles.
